How did you first get into photography?

I have been interested in photography for years, initially pursuing it as a hobby or for friends. Photography has been my way of noticing the beauty of the world around me. Eventually, this hobby became my full-time occupation. Now, I can’t imagine myself without a camera.

Can you share a memorable project or photo series you’ve worked on?

I've had many memorable projects, some with large teams and others very impromptu. I love backstage photography. For instance, capturing behind-the-scenes moments at fashion shows during Milan Fashion Week or the preparation before the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival is fascinating.

These images reveal the incredible amount of work, the emotions, and the nervousness behind the scenes that go into creating a beautiful picture.

How do you stay creative?

To stay creative, I constantly take master classes and consult with professionals. I study the works of the greats, trying to understand how they shot specific photos and how I can make them differently. They have profoundly shaped my approach to capturing fashion and true emotions.

Annie Leibovitz has inspired me with her dramatic lighting and eye for detail, pushing me to experiment with light to evoke mood and emotion.

Richard Avedon’s minimalist portraits taught me the power of simplicity.

Helmut Newton’s provocative style has encouraged me to explore daring themes and compositions, playing with contrasts to create tension and depth.

Paolo Roversi’s ethereal, romantic imagery has influenced my use of soft, natural lighting and his focus on capturing the soul of his subjects.

Vivian Maier reminds me of the beauty in everyday moments, inspiring me to find emotion and story in the world around me.

Greg Williams’ cinematic style and ability to tell a story within a single frame have deeply impacted my fashion photography. His use of continuous lighting and capturing moments have taught me to blend technical precision with the spontaneity of real life.

What message do you hope to convey through your photography to other women?

My advice for female photographers entering the industry is to stay true to your vision and voice, build a strong portfolio that reflects your unique perspective, and actively network within the community.

Don’t shy away from challenges, and advocate for yourself in terms of pay and opportunities. Believe in your work and push boundaries.
