How did you first get into photography?
My journey into photography began with the encouragement of my photographer friend. As I delved deeper into studying photography, I discovered the works of legendary photographers like Cecil Beaton, Paolo Roversi, Sarah Moon, and Deborah Turbeville.
Their distinctive styles and impactful imagery resonated deeply with me, inspiring my decision to pursue photography as a career.
Their ability to capture emotion, beauty, and storytelling through the lens ignited my own creative ambitions and continue to guide my artistic journey.
What subjects or themes do you enjoy photographing and why?
I am deeply passionate about integrating cinematic elements into my photography. Drawing inspiration from the world of cinema, I strive to capture dramatic lighting and theatrical expressions in my portraits.
I am particularly drawn to photographing individuals within environments that reflect their personality, blending their unique essence with my own stylistic approach.
This allows me to create images that not only tell a visual story but also evoke emotions and convey a sense of narrative, much like scenes from a compelling film.
How has photography changed your perspective on the world?
Through the lens, I've learned to appreciate the subtleties of light, composition, and storytelling, which has heightened my awareness of details and emotions in my surroundings.
It's taught me to look beyond the surface and capture moments that convey deeper narratives and evoke genuine emotions.
Photography has not only enhanced my creative vision but also instilled in me a deeper sense of curiosity and empathy toward diverse perspectives and experiences.
